Miss England: Expert On The Real World

The new Miss England, who is the first Muslim to be crowned with the title, seems to consider herself an authority on international issues. Here's what she said about the relations between moderate British Muslims and the British Government.
"Tony Blair addressed Muslims in particular, telling them that they need to sort out the problem within. That was a huge stereotype of the Islamic community. Even the more moderate Muslims have been stereotyped negatively and feel they have to take actions to prove themselves." - DailyMail.com article

Oh no! You mean in a time of war people have to actually do something?! How horrible is that?

She also claims that such stereotyping creates terrorist acts. Here's the thing with stereotypes. Individuals have the right to make their own decisions. These decisions can be made with or without stereotypes. These stereotypes have no control over an individual's decisions. The individual only has control of their own decisions. It's called free will. And when someone chooses to pick up a bomb, a gun, or a box cutter and try to kill someone they are making that decision on their own. And it is therefore their own damn fault.

Go back to your pageant world. Leave foreign policy to the grownups.

Cease Fires, UN Resolutions, and Other Failures

Yeah, that great cease fire is really doing the job aint it. And that UN resolution 1559 that called for Hezbollah to disarm? Oh yeah! Doin a real good job. It looks like Hezbollah is already rearming for a conflict with Israel.

Muhammad Abdullah Sif al-Din, Hezbollah representative to Iran said in an interview that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has a new strategic plan to rearm ahead of the "next round against Israel".

So tell me again Koffi how you guys are still useful to "world peace" and the prevention of war?

Here's the YNetNews.com article.

Lessons from South Park

Last night Ed and I both caught South Park on Comedy Central. Great Episode. The basic plot is that Stan and Cartman crash a boat into a beaver dam, which then floods a small town. Everybody comes up with stupid ideas as to who or what is responsible. Anyway, the whole time people are blaming everything from GWB to Crabmen, the people trapped are left alone to fend for themselves. No one lifts a finger to help them. Everyone is more interested in blame than in help. While I don't agree with South Park about a lot of things, they get it right more often than not. Get the mess cleaned up, then bitch all you want about it later.

"John Karr Hype is Bush's Fault"

Yes ladies and gentlemen, you read the headline right. Someone is claiming that all the hype around the fraudulently confessed murder of JonBenet Ramsey, John Mark Karr is Bush's fault. I wasn't going to do any posts about the entire situation in Colorado, but I saw this on CommonDreams.org and had to post.

Thom Hartmann is actually asserting that all the media hype surrounding Karr's arrest was actually a cover-up by the Bush administration. What were they covering up? That she came out with another ruling that Hartmann claims is a criminal conviction of felonies with the domestic-to-international wire-taps used to combat terrorism.

First off, the President wasn't convicted. No president can be convicted of a crime until after impeachment and removal from office. Read the entire constitution Mr. Hartmann. You might learn a few things about process in this country.

Secondly, this is yet another piece of evidence showing just how far these moonbats will go to find a conspiracy.

Hurricane Watch:WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!

OH MY GOD!!! Hurricane Ernesto is coming!!! It's going to happen again just like it did one year ago in New Orleans!!! They're saying it could become a category 4 hurricane before it makes landfall! And look at that! It's taking even taking aim at New Orleans again! Those poor bastards. Why does Bush keep sending those hurricanes at those poor people all the time?!

Hold on. I'm getting word here. We have a new track, it seem Ernesto is shifting its projected track Eastward. It's going to to hit Florida!!!! AAAHHHHHH!!! Why does Bush have to keep on doing this to that poor state?! Oh how horrible!!! It's going to be a massive category 3!!! Oh those poor Democrats down there. First Bush takes away their votes in 2000, and now he sends hurricane after hurricane at them. Why doesn't somebody stop him?!

Oh wait. I'm getting an update here from NOAA. Hurricane Ernesto has now been downgraded to Tropical Storm Ernesto. But there's going to be an amazing 8 inches of rain! OH MY GOD!!! So much rain!!! It's going to be Katrina all over again. That horrible Bush. He keeps on doing this. And all that wind too! It's going to be hurricane strength wind at 75 MPH.

Well folks, I'm getting another update on Ernesto Watch 2006. Ok, apparently the winds are only going to be around 40 mph. Oh and, um...there's only going to be 2 inches of rain in most areas. But now we must ask the important question. How did Bush cause this?

Ladies and gentleman, this has been another presentation of "Inside the Head of a Moonbat Lefty".

VIDEO:SF Driver Claimed to be Terrorist

Apparently while the guy over in San Fransisco who ran down 14 people with his car was claiming that he was a terrorist. However, his family is saying that he was mentally disturbed due to the stresses of an arranged marriage.

Little Green Footballs has video of a SF local news report talking about Omeed A. Popal claiming that he was a terrorist while attempting to kill several people with his vehicle.

Law enforcement is not treating this as a terrorist act, but simply as a nut behind the wheel. They are charging him with 14 counts of attempted murder.

There seems to be a dogged determination by authorities to not classify anything as terrorism. Even if the perpetrator is saying "I'm a terrorist" and starts trying to kill people. Look back at the July 28th shooting at the Jewish Federation offices in Seattle, WA. The man there openly said "I'm a Muslim American; I'm angry at Israel" while the war between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon was going on.

This is nuts people! They are openly saying "I'm a terrorist" and then they try to kill non-combatants in mass! Those are two big freakin indicators!

Carter To Talk To Iranian Former President

Former US President Jimmy Carter has agreed to meet with former Iranian President Mohammad Khatami for talks during his visit to the United States starting this week.

Ok, this is the guy who's foreign policy kept the Iranian hostage crisis going for 444 days where 52 Americans were held hostage in the American Embassy in Iran. This is also the guy who got the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 for his history of dimplomacy:

  • Camp David Accords - FAILED
  • Talks with North Korea to get them to stop developing atomic weapons - FAILED
  • And of course his great work at getting Iran to release our hostages - FAILED until Reagan came into office

So once again this peanut farmer wants to talk with Iran. This time its a mix of two of the above great diplomatic missions. Its the Iranians mixed with the development of atomic weapons. Yeah, this going to work really well.

The Hypocracy of DemocraticUnderground.com

I was browsing through some of my favorite left-wing sites and ran across a post on DemocraticUnderground.com about Donal Rumsfeld's remarks to the American Legion earlier today.

They are getting upset about him comparing those who supported appeasing Adolf Hitler in the lead up to World War II to those who criticize the current policies in Iraq.

"Addressing several thousand veterans at the American Legion's national convention, Rumsfeld recited what he called the lessons of history, including the failed efforts to appease the Adolf Hitler regime in the 1930s.

'I recount this history because once again we face the same kind of challenges in efforts to confront the rising threat of a new type of fascism' he said." - CNN Article

It seems the moonbats over there don't like being called Nazis, and are all up in arms about such a comparison. This is where the moonbats get seriously hypocritical. Ever since the start of the War on Terrorism they have been calling Bush the new Hitler and using photoshopped images of Bush in Hitlers uniform in their protests. But when someone turns the table on them and calls them Nazi appeasers they go completely nuts and claim foul!

So I guess this is the new rule. It's ok to call Bush the new Hitler. It is not ok to call the moonbats appeasers to the fascists.

Do these people even read their own writings?!

VIDEO:September 11th - What It This War Is About

This is one of the best videos that I have seen about September 11th, 2001. It shows the images of September 11th and the resulting war in Afgahnistan. This combined with the audio of President Bush's speech to the American people that he gave a few days after the attacks.

This war is not about politics, it is not about oil, it is not about excuses for control, or endless conspiracy theories born from heads wrapped in foil. It is about freedom. Never forget that. The day we forget that this is about freedom and our right to exist as a country is the day we loose this war.

The Bar That Even Katrina Couldn't Close

Here's a good story from New Orleans. Johnny White's is a small hole in the wall bar on Bourbon street that never closed, not even during the storm. When the state police came to order them out a few days after the storm they said "hell no!"

"You've got to have someplace open, even during the worst of times," said owner JD Landrum.
Now that's the kind of spirit that will bring back towns from even the worst of disasters. As someone who has lived through disasters in a community (Hurricane Rita in my case) I can tell you that you don't dare rely on the government to rebuild a community. You get in there and do it yourself. Cities are made of people, not government employees.

Welcome to the Single Malt Conservatives Blog!

My buddy Toothpick Johnny and I have decided to consolidate our two blogs Ed on Everything and Toothpick Johnny Presents. Together we'll be giving the barking moonbats, the foil hat brigades, and the general idiocy in the world a real run for the money.

On a daily basis we'll be serving up fried moonbat wrapped in a foil pouch. All while drinking fine single malt scotches.
