Former US President Jimmy Carter has agreed to meet with former Iranian President Mohammad Khatami for talks during his visit to the United States starting this week.
Ok, this is the guy who's foreign policy kept the Iranian hostage crisis going for 444 days where 52 Americans were held hostage in the American Embassy in Iran. This is also the guy who got the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 for his history of dimplomacy:
- Camp David Accords - FAILED
- Talks with North Korea to get them to stop developing atomic weapons - FAILED
- And of course his great work at getting Iran to release our hostages - FAILED until Reagan came into office
So once again this peanut farmer wants to talk with Iran. This time its a mix of two of the above great diplomatic missions. Its the Iranians mixed with the development of atomic weapons. Yeah, this going to work really well.Tags: Bush, Carter, Democrat, Hezbollah, Iran, Israel, Middle East, Moonbats, Politics, Terrorism, United States, War
